Adam Lasher is currently a 5th senior in the Architectural Engineering program at the Pennsylvania State University. Upon graduation in June 2011, he will obtain a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree with a concentration in Construction Management. He will also have a minor in Architecture studies which he earned in Penn State’s study abroad program Sede di Roma in Rome, Italy.

Growing up around the Pittsburgh area, Adam has been exposed to many different types of construction in particular bridges and healthcare facilities. This exposure is what first began to fuel his passion for the construction industry. He started his career in the construction industry working for the small demolition company P.J Greco and Sons. Over the four years that he worked there, he served many different functions such as demolition assistant, operator, and supervisor. During the summer of 2010, Adam interned as an Assistant Project Manager for L.F. Driscoll Co. LLC, a Construction Management firm based out of Philadelphia. During this internship, he worked on the 268,000SF/$120M Milton S. Hershey Children’s Hospital. He gained considerable knowledge about the Healthcare industry and was given many important tasks. Some of these tasks included developing complete scopes of work, setting up and administrating Prolog construction software, securing pricing for over $3.5M of work, developing ICRA plans, and was the Lead Manager on 20 different off-site mockups.

Apart from academics, Adam enjoys hunting, fishing, off-roading his Jeep, and traveling. He also plays baseball, hockey, and was a member of the Penn State New Kensington Golf Team.
